Gillian Robertson outgrapples Amanda Lemos. The co-main event of UFC Fight Night: Emmett vs. Vallejos featured an intriguing women’s strawweight showdown between Amanda Lemos and Gillian Robertson on March 14, 2026, at the UFC Apex (Meta APEX) in Las Vegas, Nevada.

In 2025, Amanda Lemos fought twice in the UFC and finished the year with a 1–1 record.
She began the year with a strong performance at UFC 313 on March 8, 2025, where she defeated Iasmin Lucindo by unanimous decision after controlling the fight over three rounds.
Later in the year, Lemos faced Tatiana Suarez on September 13, 2025, but lost by unanimous decision after Suarez used her wrestling and grappling to dominate much of the bout.

In recent years, Lemos has remained one of the most dangerous strikers in the women’s strawweight division. The Brazilian contender has faced a mixture of elite competition and rising contenders.

One of Lemos’ most notable victories also came in February 2024, when she defeated Mackenzie Dern by unanimous decision.
However, she later suffered a setback in July 2024, when she faced Virna Jandiroba. Before those fights, Lemos had also competed for the strawweight title in August 2023, where she challenged champion Zhang Weili at UFC 292. Zhang dominated the bout with wrestling and ground control, winning by unanimous decision.
Despite those setbacks, Lemos continued to be regarded as one of the division’s most dangerous finishers, capable of ending a fight with a single strike.

In recent years, Gillian Robertson

has cemented herself as one of the UFC’s most dangerous submission specialists, using her grappling and wrestling to control fights and finish opponents.
Her standout year was 2025, when Robertson faced veteran Marina Rodriguez. In that bout, she dominated on the ground and finished Rodriguez with ground-and-pound TKO in the second round, earning one of the biggest victories of her career.
The success in 2025 followed a strong 2024 campaign, where Robertson maintained her winning streak. In June 2024, she defeated Michelle Waterson-Gomez via unanimous decision, controlling the fight through wrestling and top control. Earlier that year, she earned a second-round TKO over Polyana Viana, further demonstrating her ability to finish fights.

The fight started and Lemos opened the fight aggressively, throwing heavy punches and looking to keep the fight standing where her power is most dangerous. Robertson stayed patient and quickly looked for a takedown.
About halfway into the round, Robertson successfully took Lemos down and immediately began working from top position. She controlled the Brazilian on the ground, landing short strikes while searching for a submission.
Lemos managed to survive the round, but Robertson clearly controlled most of the action with her grappling.

Round two started and Robertson came out with the same strategy in the second round, closing the distance early and securing another takedown. Once the fight hit the canvas, she moved smoothly between positions and kept Lemos pinned.
Lemos tried to explode back to her feet, but Robertson maintained control and continued landing ground strikes. She also threatened with submission attempts, forcing Lemos to focus entirely on defense.
By the end of the round, Robertson had built a strong lead.

In round three, knowing she needed a finish, Lemos started the final round with more urgency, throwing combinations and trying to keep the fight standing. Robertson, however, stayed composed and timed another takedown.
On the ground, Robertson once again controlled the fight, maintaining top position and landing steady ground-and-pound. Lemos defended well but struggled to escape Robertson’s pressure.
The fight went the distance, with Robertson’s grappling dominance sealing the victory on the judges’ scorecards.

“A little bit of a rough start but the next two rounds …I took over,” Robertson said after the win. “That’s five wins in a row … all I need is that belt to solidify myself.”
