UFC302 was held on Saturday in Newark, New Jersey. It featured exciting fights that kept fans on the edge of their seats and left fighters writhing in pain and some celebrating in glory. Although the event had three finishes in over twelve fight cards, many fighters still sustained multiple injuries.
New Jersey State Athletic Control Board [NJSACB] released a list on Tuesday that included the medical suspensions and injuries for fighters. At the top of the card was Dustin Poirier who suffered a d’arce choke loss in his fight against Islam Makhachev. The athlete revealed he suffered from a nose and leg injury during the fight. As a result of this, the fighter has been issued an indefinite suspension pending an orthopedist clearance.
Sean Strickland also sustained a left tibia injury during his clash and win over Paulo Costa. Costa also suffered from an ankle/foot injury. The two fighters have earned indefinite suspensions following an orthopedist clearance.

Islam Makhachev: 30-day suspension/no contact due to facial lacerations.
Michal Oleksiejczuk: Indefinite suspension until orthopedist clearance on right elbow injury.
Grant Dawson: 30-day suspension /no contact for left eyebrow laceration.
Randy Brown: Indefinite suspension until orthopedist clearance on the right big toe.
Jailton Almeida: Indefinite suspension until orthopedist clearance on left knee.
Bassil Hafez: 30-days suspension/ no contact.
Joselyne Edwards: Indefinite suspension until doctor clearance on right thumb.
Mickey Gall: 14-day mandatory suspension and indefinite suspension until nephrology clearance.
Paulo Costa: 30-day suspension with 14-day no contact and Indefinite suspension until orthopedist clearance on right ankle/foot injury.
Dustin Poirier: Indefinite suspensions until orthopedist clearance on left knee injury and ENT specialist clearance on nose injury.
Elizeu Zaleski dos Santos: Indefinite suspension until ophthalmologist exam clearance.
Ailin Perez: 30-day suspension, no contact/ Indefinite suspension until oral surgeon clearance on jaw.
Sean Strickland: Indefinite suspension until orthopedist clearance on left leg injury.
