Former UFC heavyweight champion Cain Velasquez is set to be part of a loaded broadcast lineup for this weekend’s Most Valuable Promotions MMA event headlined by Ronda Rousey and Gina Carano.

MVP officials confirmed the full broadcast details ahead of Saturday night’s card at the Intuit Dome in Inglewood, California. The event will stream exclusively on Netflix, with Rousey and Carano finally meeting in a featherweight main event years after the matchup was first discussed in MMA circles.

Veteran commentator Mauro Ranallo will lead the broadcast as the play-by-play announcer, while former UFC fighter and analyst Kenny Florian joins him on commentary duties. Sibley Scoles will work as the roving reporter, and longtime combat sports commentator Sean Wheelock will handle rules and scoring analysis.

The analyst desk will feature ESPN personality Elle Duncan alongside former UFC welterweight champion Tyron Woodley and veteran MMA journalist Ariel Helwani.

Throughout the night, several special guests are expected to appear at the desk, including former UFC champions Jon Jones and Cain Velasquez, as well as former UFC title challenger Cat Zingano.

The preliminary card begins at 6 p.m. ET on the MVP YouTube channel, while the main card streams live on Netflix starting at 9 p.m. ET.

Fight week activities will also feature a strong media lineup. Scoles is scheduled to serve as cageside reporter during Wednesday’s open workouts, while Kody “Big Mo” Mommaerts will act as the event emcee and official ring announcer for fight night.

Thursday’s press conference will be hosted by Helwani and feature the full fight card lineup. The ceremonial weigh-ins will include Scoles as host, with Woodley and Florian providing analysis. Helwani will also contribute additional reporting, while Cain Velasquez joins the weigh-in broadcast for bonus commentary months after his release from prison.

Both the press conference and ceremonial weigh-ins are scheduled to stream at 9 p.m. ET on the MVP YouTube channel.

While excitement continues to build around Rousey vs. Carano, the event has already suffered a late setback.
Former UFC standout Lorenz Larkin recently announced that he has withdrawn from the card due to a knee injury.

“I’m sorry to all the fans, but I had to pull out of the Netflix card due to a knee injury,” Larkin wrote on Instagram.
“Will be rehabbing it back to 100% and will be back.”

Larkin was originally scheduled to face former Bellator welterweight champion Jason Jackson on the undercard. As of now, MVP has not confirmed whether Jackson will receive a replacement opponent.

The event still remains one of the most talked-about combat sports cards of the year, combining MMA legends, crossover stars, and a stacked broadcast team led by names like Cain Velasquez, Jon Jones, Ariel Helwani, and Tyron Woodley.

For MVP and Jake Paul, the card also represents the promotion’s first major step into the MMA world after finding success in boxing.
