EARLY LIFE

Kevin Tariq Osaro is a Dutch-Nigerian kickboxer born in Zwolle, Netherlands. He grew up in Amersfoort and was a footballer until a shoulder injury in his late teens led him to discover kickboxing. He once participated in OSS Fighters tournament, but he is currently competing in the heavyweight division for Glory.

Osaro is ranked #2 in the heavyweight kickboxing world, and the standing Glory heavyweight champion. He is also a white belt in Jiu-Jutsu and has competed at the Rotterdam BJJ Open, where he won gold, and the BJJ Dutch Open, where he lost by walkover. The athlete has been in ten kickboxing tournaments and has dominated almost all his opponents.

KICKBOXING CAREER

Osaro has participated in many Tournaments, including the Enfusion and Glory Series. His first kickboxing match was against Martin Terpstra, but he lost the fight following a unanimous decision in round three. Next, he faced Lazar Todev and won the match by a third round unanimous decision.

Soon after, he went up against Cristian Ristea and also won the match after a unanimous decision. His next battle was against Rhys Brudenell, and he hammered his way to victory after defeating his opponent via TKO in round three. After this, he faced Levi Rigters but lost the match following a unanimous decision in round three.

Later on, Osaro faced Morrocco fighter Abderrahman Barkouch. After a punch-packed battle, he finally won the match with a deadly right hook in the third round. Next he faced Jahfarr Wilnis at the Glory 85. Osaro came in with some punishing leg kicks but Wilnis responded with a big overhand right. Wilnis kept his guard up but Osaro remained on the attack and landed a big left uppercut, to which Wilnis responded with a left-right combo. The two continued to exchange blows but Wilnis finally got the upper hand and delivered a left right jab before the round came to an end.

The opponents began round two in a clinch, but Wilnis broke through and got a few punches in. Osaro retaliated with a knee to the body and uppercuts. He landed a big overhand that rocked Wilnis and he continued to land punches and a fatal knee strike to the head. The match ended with Osaro victorious via total knockout. Next, he faced Murat Aygun and won the round after a four knockout rule. Soon, he faced Croatian fighter Antonio Plazibat. Osaro came out swinging high kicks but Plazibat kept his guard up. The Croatian took his time stalking Osaro before landing quick jabs to the face. The fight continued with both opponents landing precise kicks but Osaro emerged victorious in round five after a TKO.

His last recorded kickboxing match was against Rico Verhoeven but he lost the fight following a unanimous decision. Osaro’s upcoming fight will be against Bahram Rajabzadeh on the ninth of march 2024.
