EARLY LIFE
Munwe is a phenomenal fighter and has been a force to be reckoned with since his debut in MMA. He has been in four fights and has had three wins.
MMA CAREER
He has been in national and international fights, including Lome International Fight Night, Impact Championship, AKO, and EFC. His first professional match was against Ghanaian fighter Jonathan Euro. The opponents faced off each other in a deadly bout, but Munwe proved to be the better contender after winning the bout via TKO in the first round.
Next, he went up against his countryman Flory Tshisuaka. The match began with both opponents keeping up their defenses before a takedown by Munwe. He landed some heavy ground pounds and hammer fists that left Tshisuaka incapacitated and Munwe, the winner.
Following this, he faced Cherif Drame and kept his defenses up before scoring a right jab that saw Drame wobble. Then, he performed a takedown but struggled to maintain the upper hand. Round two proceeded with another takedown by Munwe, but Drame clinched to him and offered no room for strikes. After multiple takedowns and jabs, Munwe emerged victorious via unanimous decision.
Later, he faced South African fighter Diego Bandu at EFC, middleweight division. Bandu threw a precise jab in the opening round, but Munwe went in for a takedown. Both athletes clinched and landed knee strikes on each other before Munwq scored another takedown and some deadly ground pounding. He went for a rear naked choke, but Bandu slipped through. The two continued to wrestle before getting back on their feet, where Bandu delivered a perfectly placed kick to the shoulder, and his knee connected with Munwe’s head leading to a knockout in round one.
After this he faced Segun Ogunnoiki at the AKO show and won the fight via split decision.
