Donald Trump Confirms UFC White House Arena Build. The long-discussed UFC event on White House grounds is longer just talk.
Speaking with reporters on Friday, president Donald Trump has officially confirmed new details for the highly anticipated UFC White House event, revealing that construction for the temporary arena will begin “next week” on the South Lawn. The event is scheduled for June 14, 2026, as part of the wider America 250 celebrations, marking the 250th anniversary of U.S. independence. According to Trump, the setup will include a temporary arena with seating for approximately 5,000 spectators, while tens of thousands more are expected to gather nearby at the Ellipse to watch the event on giant screens.
“We’re going to have some of the greatest champions in the world,” Trump said. “The arena, they’re going to start building it over the next week. It’s right here, and it will be about 5,000 seats. They’ll have 100,000 people down by the Ellipse, with screens. And it’s all free. It’s going to be great.”

UFC White House is headlined by a lightweight title bout between Ilia Topuria and Justin Gaethje, and also features an interim heavyweight title fight between Alex Pereira and Ciryl Gane. If all goes according to plan, this would mark the first UFC event ever hosted on White House grounds. Trump, a longtime ally of UFC CEO Dana White, has repeatedly promoted the event as one of the biggest attractions tied to the America 250 festivities.
Speaking about the upcoming build, Trump told reporters that construction would begin imminently, adding more fuel to what is already one of the most unusual and talked-about events in UFC history. The UFC has hosted cards in arenas, islands, and sold-out stadiums, but the White House might be its wildest stage yet.
With construction reportedly beginning next week, UFC White House is moving from headline fantasy to real-life spectacle. And if this card actually delivers, fight fans could be witnessing one of the strangest and most memorable nights in MMA history.
