Carlos Ulberg undergoes ACL surgery. Newly crowned UFC light heavyweight champion Carlos Ulberg has undergone knee surgery after suffering a torn ACL during his dramatic victory over Jiří Procházka in the UFC 327 main event in Miami.
Reports confirmed that Ulberg injured his knee during the early moments of the fight. Although visibly affected in his movement, he continued competing through the pain and adjusted his game plan to stay dangerous in exchanges.
Even with limited mobility, Ulberg remained composed and patient, waiting for the right opening and that moment eventually came and he capitalized in brutal fashion.

Despite the injury, Ulberg still managed to secure a first-round knockout and capture the vacant title in one of the most dramatic championship performances of the year. In the opening round, Ulberg delivered a fight-ending strike that stunned Procházka and secured him the UFC light heavyweight championship. What made the performance even more remarkable was the fact that he finished the fight while already dealing with a serious knee injury.
Shortly after UFC 327, Ulberg’s team confirmed that scans revealed a torn ACL, along with additional knee damage. He has then undergone surgery to repair the injury and has begun the recovery process. Medical experts estimate that ACL recovery typically takes 6–9 months or longer, depending on rehabilitation progress and complications.

Ulberg posted an image to his Instagram stories announcing he has already undergone surgery to address the injury. A belt was won, a knee was broken, and a champion was born. Now the UFC light heavyweight division waits for its new king to return and defend what he fought so hard for.
