Allycia Hellen Rodrigues has built her championship reign on fearlessness, and now Rodrigues prepares to face the challenge she has envisioned for years.
The ONE Women’s Atomweight Muay Thai World Champion headlines ONE Fight Night 41 on March 13 at Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand, where she meets ONE Women’s Atomweight Kickboxing World Champion Phetjeeja in a long-anticipated super fight.
For Rodrigues, this matchup isn’t just another title defense, it’s personal. Long before Rodrigues became a world champion, she watched Phetjeeja compete from her hometown of Fortaleza, Brazil. Even then, the Thai star stood out.
“I’ve known Phetjeeja since before I came to live in Thailand, back when she used to fight boys. She was a girl whose style I liked a lot. I was already following her,” Rodrigues said.
Years later, both fighters reached the top of ONE Championship, turning admiration into rivalry.
“I always knew that this opportunity would come. And now it has arrived, and it is one of the biggest fights of my career. I am very excited.”
Rodrigues has never shied away from elite opposition. She captured the title by dethroning Stamp Fairtex in her promotional debut and later unified the division against combat sports legend Janet Todd. Throughout her reign, Rodrigues has consistently answered every challenge placed in front of her.
Rodrigues enters the fight with a clear strategy. After years of studying Phetjeeja, she believes the clinch will be the deciding factor.
“The advantages I believe I have over Phetjeeja are mainly the clinch game. It has always made a big difference in fights for me,” Rodrigues explained.
She pointed out that Phetjeeja’s transition toward kickboxing has shifted her style toward boxing combinations and movement rather than close-range exchanges.
“She doesn’t really like to clinch in fights. I don’t know if it’s because she’s fighting in kickboxing, but even in Muay Thai I’ve seen that she doesn’t like to clinch much. So, I believe that is a weak point of hers.”

Still, Rodrigues fully understands the danger ahead. Phetjeeja’s speed, accuracy, and striking volume make every exchange risky.
Despite her confidence, Rodrigues refuses to underestimate her opponent. Instead, she welcomes the uncertainty that comes with facing another champion.
“I believe this fight is 50-50. It could go either way. It is a fight that is as dangerous for me as it is for her.”
Rather than playing it safe, Rodrigues promises action.
“I just want to be able to put up a good fight and put on a great show for the fans. I believe that the vast majority of the rounds will be a brawl.”
After five years atop the division, Rodrigues now faces arguably the most dangerous opponent of her career. However, if history has shown anything, it’s that Rodrigues thrives under pressure and ONE Fight Night 41 could cement her legacy as one of the sport’s most dominant champions.
