Luke Rockhold has added his name to the growing list of fighters and analysts who were left unimpressed by Andrew Tate’s performance at Misfits Mania.
The former UFC middleweight champion reacted to Tate’s six-round boxing loss to Chase DeMoor, a bout that headlined the event and ended in a majority decision defeat for the social media influencer. Despite Tate’s reputation and confidence going into the fight, the contest failed to deliver, and Rockhold did not hold back with his assessment.
Speaking on Submission Radio, Luke Rockhold questioned how Tate could look so uncomfortable in the ring given his background.
“Yeah, I mean, for a four-time world champion, you should have been able to box. That’s all I’ve got to say,” Rockhold said. “If you are a four-time world champion, because I’m a four-time world champion, but I might’ve lost, I still showed I can box. In any department of fighting, I can still do what I do.”
Rockhold, who has experienced his own ups and downs in recent years, including a brutal knockout loss to Darren Till under the Misfits banner, made it clear that Tate’s outing didn’t pass the eye test.
“Andrew, he didn’t look good. He didn’t look like he had fought before,” Rockhold added.

Tate does have limited combat sports experience outside of kickboxing, including a brief amateur MMA run where he went 3-2 and a professional debut win in 2010. Still, Rockhold felt that Tate’s showing failed to reflect any of that experience.
That said, Luke Rockhold did offer a small nod of respect for Tate’s willingness to step into the ring.
“Credit to Andrew Tate for stepping up and doing his thing. I like the way he presents himself and how he challenges himself,” Rockhold said. “But at the end of the day, that fight was f*cking horrible. It was a really bad fight on both ends.”
With criticism continuing to pour in from across the MMA and boxing worlds, Tate’s Misfits debut has sparked more questions than answers and Luke Rockhold made it clear he expected far more from someone with Tate’s résumé and bravado.
