EARLY LIFE
Dooga is a Nigerian athlete who hails from the Tiv tribe in Benue state. He is a natural-born fighter who continues to amaze audiences with his sheer skill and power in the cage. The athlete is not only an MMA fighter but also a kickboxer who has been in nine MMA battles and one kickboxing tournament.
MMA CAREER
The Benue state indigene is a lover of MMA and has competed in many national and international competitions like the WSC, PFC, OFU 3, Street Fight AJ City Rumble, Benin FC, and AKO. His first professional debut was against Samuel Adibe, and he won the battle after a unanimous decision in round three. Next, he faced off Micheal Ikenna but lost the match after submitting in round two.
After this, Dooga faced Aaron Ogouniyi. Unfortunately, he suffered an injury after a vicious exchange and lost the fight in round two. He had his first kickboxing battle against Cornel Thompson but was defeated in the fight after suffering a knockout in round two.
Soon afterward, he had his rematch against Ogouniyi at the BFC. The two came in swinging, but Ogouniyi went in for a takedown and proceeded to deliver ground pound and elbow strikes. Dooga kept his guard up and tried to flip Ogouniyi over before the referee separated them. Ogouniyi sustained an injury during their struggle and couldn’t continue with the match, which led to Dooga’s victory.
Following this, he faced Geoffrey John at the lightweight division, OFU fight, and emerged victorious following a unanimous decision. Next, Dooga faced Iheanyi Agoha, but he lost the fight after a split decision from the judges. Later on, he went up against Gildas Adanhou. His opponent performed a beautiful takedown and pummeled him with a heavy ground pound. Adanhou went in for an arm bar, but Dooga escaped this hold and won the battle after switching positions and locking his opponent in a guillotine choke that led to his submission in round one.
Next, he faced Congolese fighter Ananias Mulumba. The two came with intensity, and Dooga saw an opening for a leg kick and took it, but Mulumba responded with an overhand punch. Mulumba landed a few more head strikes before going or a takedown, where he continued to land punishing blows and elbow strikes. He went in for a rear naked choke that led to Dooga’s submission in the opening round.
After this, he was up against Jubril Inuwa Baba, and he lost the fight after succumbing to a ground pound in round one.
His last recorded fight was against Godspower Cornelius and he defeated his opponent via unanimous decision.
