The UFC is coming to the White House. President Trump reveals plans to hold a UFC event at the White House in 2026. Trump has revealed plans to host a full-scale UFC championship event right on the White House lawn in 2026.
On Thursday at a rally in Iowa, President Donald Trump announced plans to host a UFC event on the ground of the White House sometime in 2026 as part of his ambitious plans to celebrate 250th anniversary of the declaration of Independence in the United States.
“Does anybody watch UFC?” Trump said to his supporters in attendance. “The great Dana White. We’re going to have a UFC fight on the grounds of the White House. We have a lot of land there. Dana’s going to do it. Dana’s great, one of a kind. We’re going to have a UFC fight, a championship fight, like full fight, 20, 25,000 people and we’re going to do that as part of 250 also.”
“We’re going to have some incredible events. Some professional events, some amateur events but the UFC fight’s going to be a big deal, too.”
Trump’s statement wasn’t just a crowd-pleaser, it’s a real proposal. His spokesperson confirmed the idea is “dead serious.” The event would be part of “America 250,” a major national celebration marking 250 years since the United States declared independence.

Trump’s long friendship with UFC President, ”Dana White” makes the idea more believable. White has backed Trump for years, and Trump is a regular face at UFC events. He’s been seen cage-side at recent cards like UFC 309 and UFC 316 often receiving massive applause from fans.
Although the UFC has hosted events in Washington D.C. before, this would mark the first time a major sporting event takes place on the White House grounds. How that would actually come together is still unclear, but the UFC has already shared the video clip on its official Instagram page.
Trump isn’t just thinking fireworks and parades for America’s 250th birthday, he’s thinking big. Alongside his wild UFC White House idea, he also announced the Patriot Games, a nationwide showdown where young athletes from all 50 states will compete in different sports. It’s his way of blending celebration with competition.
After the announcement, A few fighters also mentioned their interest in being part of the festivities, including UFC star Conor McGregor. “I would be honored,” McGregor wrote on Twitter. “Count me in.”
McGregor also teased a long-awaited matchup with Michael Chandler. Unsurprisingly, Chandler is agreeable to the idea. He and McGregor were opposing coaches on the ultimate fighter 31 and were actually scheduled to fight at UFC 303 in June 2024, but McGregor withdrew from that bout with a broken toe.
“Anybody fancy a good old-fashioned, passionate red, white and blue ass whoopin on the lawn of The White House?” Chandler wrote in an Instagram Story post.
One thing is for sure, if Trump pulls this off, the White House won’t just be a symbol of power anymore. It’ll be home to flying elbows, roaring crowds, and maybe even a title belt or two.
In 2026, history might not just be written in books, it could be written in blood, sweat, and octagon glory, right on the South Lawn.
