Jane Osigwe secured a unanimous decision victory over Sanaa Mandar at PFL Africa: Morocco, with all three judges scoring the contest in favour of the Nigerian fighter.
A familiar rivalry gets another chapter as Nigeria’s Jane Osigwe faces Morocco’s Sanaa Mandar at PFL Africa: Morocco. With previous encounters between the two fighters adding extra tension. The Professional Fighters League heads to the Mohammed V Sports Complex in Casablanca, Morocco, on Saturday, October 10, 2026, for PFL Africa’s first event in North Africa. Among the matchups on the card is a women’s catchweight bout between Osigwe and Mandar, who are scheduled to meet again after several previous encounters.
Jane Osigwe enters the contest with a professional record of 5-4, representing Africa Top Team Nigeria. Known as “The Slayer,” the 21-year-old has recorded three knockout victories and two decision wins. However, she is looking to rebound after suffering a split-decision defeat to fellow Nigerian Juliet Ukah at PFL Africa Pretoria in April.
Mandar enters the matchup with a 3-2 professional record and the backing of the Moroccan crowd. Her victories include decision wins over Joy Ebanda Obanla and Marie Mengue, as well as an armbar submission victory over Theresa Ajiboye. The fight starts and Osigwe establishes her striking early, landing combinations while Mandar looks for opportunities to respond. The Moroccan fighter attempts to bring the contest to the ground, completing one takedown from two attempts, but Osigwe continues to find opportunities to land. Round two begins and Osigwe continues to work at range and looks to maintain her striking advantage. Mandar attempts to make the grappling exchanges count, but Osigwe keeps up her offensive output. The Nigerian fighter also maintains her pressure and accumulates ground control during the fight. Osigwe finishes the contest with 84 significant strikes landed from 125 attempts, compared with Mandar’s eight from 25 attempts. After 15 minutes, the judges award Osigwe the unanimous decision victory.

The victory also gave Osigwe another win over Mandar, following their previous meeting at African Knockout 10 in August 2025, where the Nigerian won by unanimous decision over five rounds. Mandar entered the rematch with additional motivation, having previously expressed her desire to avenge that defeat in front of her home crowd. For the Nigerian, the win was an opportunity to rebuild momentum after her split-decision defeat to Juliet Ukah at PFL Africa’s April event in Pretoria. For Mandar, fighting in Casablanca provided home support, but she was unable to match Osigwe’s striking volume over the 15-minute contest.
Another welterweight semifinal on the card sees David Samuel earn a unanimous decision victory over Rivaldo Pereira. Samuel uses his grappling and positional control to limit Pereira’s opportunities to build momentum, maintaining his composure throughout the three-round contest. Pereira looks to find openings, but Samuel manages the fight effectively to secure a clean sweep on the judges’ scorecards, with all three scoring it 30–27. The victory extends Samuel’s unbeaten record to seven fights and books his place in the PFL Africa welterweight final against Shido Boris Esperança.
Patrick Ocheme also delivers a devastating statement in the lightweight semifinal at PFL Morocco, knocking out Cornel Thompson with a brutal body kick at just 2:46 of the first round. The perfectly timed strike brings the contest to an abrupt end, forcing the referee to intervene as Thompson crumbles under the impact. The emphatic finish sends Ocheme into the PFL Africa lightweight tournament final against Demba Seck, putting him one victory away from tournament glory.
