EARLY LIFE
Ikebunna is an expert in Muay Thai and has been in the MMA world for eight years. The fighter was born in Nigeria but relocated to the US where he fought out of Texas. He has been in two amateur and four professional bouts.
MMA CAREER
The athlete has been in international and national tournaments such as XKO Amateur Series, Teofista: For The Troops, and LFA. In his first MMA amateur fight, he faced off Mario Aldape and lost the battle in round two after a TKO. Next, he went up against Jose Diaz and won the fight after a split decision in round three.
In his first-ever professional debut, Ikebunna went up against Lee Hagel and emerged victorious after clobbering his opponent resulting in a first-round TKO. After this, he faced Dan Olajiga and won the fight after locking his opponent in an armbar which led to Olajiga’s submission in the first round.
Next, he faced Hunter Colvin but lost the fight in a rear naked choke in round one. Lastly, he faced off against Roland Dunlap and lost the fight after a body slam and elbow strikes to the head that led to a TKO.
