Michael Page got the win in London but it didn’t come with the usual excitement fans expect from “MVP.”
Page defeated Sam Patterson via unanimous decision at UFC London inside the O2 Arena, but the performance drew boos from the crowd. It also sparked speculation that UFC CEO Dana White left the arena during the fight.
Page didn’t ignore the noise. Instead, he addressed it head-on.
“Nah, not really,” Page told reporters when asked about White’s reported exit. “Again, when you’re a man in those positions, everything you do has a big effect. You create bigger waves with what you do and what you say. I guess he needs to be mindful of these things, but he’s known to be his own man. He does what he does.
“But for me, it’s just go out and perform the best as I can next time and, next time, make him sit in his seat.”
Despite extending his winning streak, Michael Page admitted the performance didn’t meet his own standards. Known for his flashy and explosive style, this fight played out far more cautiously, something he partly blamed on his opponent’s approach.

“Got the win,” Page wrote on Instagram. “Not the performance I aim to give, and I know people expect more. I expect more from myself too. Sometimes styles clash and it becomes more tactical than explosive, but I’m not here to be in boring fights. That’s not who I am.”
Michael Page also made headlines for his walkout song, choosing Michael Jackson’s They Don’t Care About Us — a track he said reflects deeper frustrations beyond just the fight game.
“I think there’s a multitude of things, but you only have to look at the world,” Page explained. “You don’t have to look that far. The powers that be in so many different aspects just don’t give a shit about us, if I’m being honest.
“Any time I hear the news, it’s just so negative, and there’s so much pain going on in the world right now. That track is so old and still so relevant. It’s ridiculous. That track is relevant now — for my own frustrations and for the world’s frustrations. It shouldn’t be. That’s what’s annoying.
“I feel like everybody at the top needs to disappear. We need to start fresh.”
Even with the criticism, Michael Page remains in a strong position in the division, now riding a solid run of wins inside the UFC. But if there’s one thing he made clear, it’s this, he’s not satisfied with just winning.
