Michael Page knows his recent performances have not lived up to the expectations that followed him into the UFC.
The former Bellator star secured his fourth consecutive victory on Saturday, earning a unanimous decision win over Nursulton Ruziboev at UFC Paris. While the result extended his winning streak, it did little to silence criticism surrounding his cautious approach inside the Octagon.
With his UFC contract now up for renewal, Page admitted he understands the frustration from fans and acknowledged that he has not consistently delivered the kind of performances the promotion expects.
“I’ll sit down with the UFC and have an honest conversation,” Page said. “I’m going to say, ‘Look, man, I know I can do better. I’m aspiring to do better. I’m up there. Give me better opponents and have faith that I can deliver something special for the crowd.’”

“I watch my new fights and compare them to the old ones. I can see the difference and I can feel the difference. I’m trying to get back to enjoying the moment, taking risks and attempting something crazy just because I can.”
Despite the criticism, Page remains one of the UFC’s top-ranked middleweights. He currently sits No. 8 in the promotion’s rankings, although some media outlets place him lower due to the nature of his recent victories.
For Page, the issue is not his physical condition. In fact, he feels better than ever.
“The frustrating thing is that I feel great, which sometimes means I haven’t done enough,” Page said. “The result shows I haven’t done enough.”
“I probably need to push myself a little more and take a few more risks. Sometimes I want everything to be too clean and too precise. I know there’s more there, and it frustrates me because when I get into the cage, I feel like I’m holding back.”
“I want to give more. The fans deserve more, the UFC deserves more, and I know I can give more. I feel like I’m very close.”
As speculation grows over his UFC future, the focus remains on whether the promotion will offer him a new deal. Page has made it clear that he wants to stay, but he also hopes the UFC matches him against elite strikers who can bring out the best version of his game.
