EARLY LIFE
Josemare Emerson Octavio is a well-trained athlete who has competed in contact sports since 2016. The fighter began as a kickboxer but transitioned to MMA after moving to Namibia. Octavio has won the title of Angola’s kickboxing champion and has competed in three amateur fights and five professional bouts.
MMA CAREER
Octavio has mainly competed in Fightstar FC and EFC Worldwide tournaments. His first amateur fight was against JP Maree, and he won after defeating his opponent via TKO in the second round. Next, he faced Roevan De Beer but suffered a triangle choke defeat in round three. After this, he faced Tyler Ormandy and won the battle after locking his opponent in an armbar in the opening round.
Octavio finally made his pro-debut at the EFC Worldwide 41, where he faced JP Buys and suffered defeat by a rear naked choke move in round one. Next, he battled Radley De Vries and won the fight following an armbar lock in the opening round. His next opponent was Yusuf Hassan, who won this fight after putting Hassan in a guillotine choke in the first round.
After this, Octavio fought Dansheel Moodley and won by unanimous decision. His last recorded fight was against Wade Kerspuy, and he lost this battle after an armbar in round one.
