Vejab “Hinda Boy” Hinda delivered an impressive performance at EFC 139, stopping Godfrey “FeralSpunky” Mkhwanazi in the first round of their main event showdown on Thursday, November 5, in Johannesburg, South Africa.
Hinda secured the victory via TKO at 1:35 of the opening round, extending his unbeaten professional record to 3-0. The Namibian fighter needed less than two minutes to get the job done, adding another first-round finish to his growing professional résumé.
The main event was initially scheduled to feature Hinda against Coenie Lamprecht. However, Lamprecht withdrew after suffering a concussion during training, allowing Mkhwanazi to step in as a replacement.
Despite the late change in opponents, Hinda maintained his momentum and secured another statement victory.
In the co-main event, Nasiphi Vellem defeated Grant Farrow by unanimous decision after three rounds. The victory extended Vellem’s unbeaten record to 4-0-1, while Farrow suffered the first defeat of his professional career.
Sisa Jungula also picked up a unanimous decision victory over Micky Cloete in their flyweight contest. Meanwhile, Eduardo Barros stopped Roevan De Beer via TKO at 2:33 of the second round.
Ayanda Zwane bounced back with a unanimous decision victory over Yaseen Adams in their featherweight contest.
On the preliminary card, Dayne Van Wyk defeated Charmaine Venter by unanimous decision, while Tyron Lamprecht secured a first-round TKO victory over David Makane at 2:04.
Zeca Martinho continued his unbeaten run with a unanimous decision win over Godknows Ndlovu. Salahuddin Plaatjies edged Story Mpia Embombe by split decision, while Phillip Cronje opened the preliminary card with a first-round submission victory over Andile Gasa.
Cronje needed just 49 seconds to submit Gasa with a guillotine choke.
