The DWCS season 10 results are in, and four fighters earned UFC contracts after an action-packed night at Dana White’s Contender Series on Tuesday.
Mayton Perea headlined the Dana White’s Contender Series Season 10 Week 6 card against Zevan Hunt at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas.
Perea entered the fight with an 8-3 record after competing primarily in Ecuador and across South America. The Ecuadorian also had a regional title to his name.
Hunt, meanwhile, entered the fight undefeated at 7-0 as a professional. The Rage in the Cage champion had also built up considerable experience during his amateur career.
Two fighters, Igor Cavalcanti and Antonio Monteiro, also returned to the Contender Series for a second opportunity to earn UFC contracts.
Coming into Week 6, most of the fighters who picked up wins on the show had secured UFC contracts. The first five weeks of Season 10 produced 23 UFC deals from 25 fights.
There were four new fighters added to the UFC roster after an action-packed night on The Contender Series.
UFC CEO Dana White awarded contracts to Mayton Perea, Igor Cavalcanti, Akbar Abdullaev and Luis Hernandez.
The fifth winner of the night, Tyshawn Williams, did not receive a UFC contract. However, White told Williams that he would get another opportunity on The Contender Series later this season to earn his contract.

White had plenty of praise for Abdullaev after the former ONE fighter delivered a devastating one-punch knockout against Santos.
He called Abdullaev “the greatest talent that’s ever been on this show” after the fighter finished the bout in just 19 seconds.
The latest additions take the number of fighters signed by the UFC from The Contender Series this season to 28.
