EARLY LIFE

Conrad Seabi is a fearless MMA fighter and a phenomenal athlete in the cage. The fighter began his journey into combat sports at the age of 14. Growing up in a rural area, he loved fighting as a teenager and would often face off against other boys his age. He was soon introduced to Tykoshin and did that for two years before transitioning to kickboxing, where he represented South Africa in Dublin.

At age 22, he decided to learn Muay Thai and won the African Muay Thai champion title in 2007. After this successful role in different combat sports, Seabi decided to enter MMA and has been in fourteen professional fights.

MMA CAREER

Seabi began his MMA debut at Fightstar FC, where he fought at the amateur level. He later progressed to the professional level and competed at the EFC and Rise of the Warrior.

Seabi battled Damian Schultz at the amateur level and won the fight following a majority decision. Next, he faced Giovanni Pretorius, who also won this round. After this, he made his debut in professional MMA and faced Gavin Green but suffered a massive defeat after a TKO loss in round one. Later, he went up against Alain Ilunga, losing the match after a triangle choke in round two. Subsequently, he faced Robert Simbowe and won after a unanimous decision. He soon encountered long-time opponent Ilunga at EFC Worldwide but couldn’t redeem himself and lost the fight following a unanimous decision.

Following this, he squared up against Sizwe Mnkathi and won the fight after a round three TKO. Next, he faced Kaleka Kabanda and won the match after a split decision. His next opponent was Wayde Sage, and he won this fight after flurries of strikes led to a TKO in round two. He lost his next battle against Gunther Kalunda Ngunza after a unanimous decision.

Subsequently, Seabi faced Pietie Coxen at EFC Worldwide, welterweight division. The two came in with explosive punches, and Seabi went in for a low leg kick while Coxen responded with a right jab. They continued to exchange punches, but Coxen managed to back Seabi to the cage, but he kept firing shots and knee strikes before they separated. Coxen threw a straight ab and a head kick, and SeabI followed with a left punch. He went in for another strike, but Coxen pulled him in with a strike that wobbled him. They continued to exchange vicious strikes and leg kicks. A right hook by Coxen rocked Seabi, but he remained on his feet. Coxen wrestled him to the floor and put him in a headlock, but he broke through and landed a few elbow strikes before the round ended.

Both opponents continued to fire shots through the next rounds. The fight ended with Seabi victorious following a split decision. Next, he faced Max Merten. After a confrontational weigh-in and rounds of heavy strikes and kicks, Seabi dropped Merten with an elbow strike to the jaw in round three, leading to a TKO win.

His next opponent was Jose Da Rocha Junior, and he lost this fight after suffering a first-round TKO. Later, he faced Robert Swanepoel and won following elbow strikes, which led to a TKO in round one. Following this, he faced Wade Anderson and won after a unanimous decision.
