UFC fighter Bryce Mitchell has issued an apology after supporting Hitler and the holocaust on his recently debuted podcast.


The UFC featherweight is known for his controversial views on a wide range of topics but the fighter crossed the line after making some comments about Hitler on his podcast. Mitchell said the holocaust never happened and praised Adolf Hitler for being a “good guy” who didn’t want his country to get run over but “poor Jews” . The fighters comment caused an uproar in MMA community with UFC CEO Dana White condemning the fighters statement and expressing his disgust for Mitchell’s opinion on this subject. Mitchell came out shortly afterwards to issue a statement to the UFC but the backlashed continued as fans and foe have all expressed disapproval of the the fighter’s behavior. The fighter made a public post on Instagram apologizing for his behavior.


“I’m sorry I sounded insensitive,” Mitchell wrote in an Instagram post Saturday. “I definitely was not trying to offend anybody, but I know I did. I know that a lot of people died in the Holocaust, and that’s a fact. Hitler did a lot of evil things, I think we can all agree on that. I’m definitely not a Nazi, and definitely do not condone any of the evil things Hitler did.”

Mitchell’s producer Roi Delgado has also come out to issue a public apology on Facebook. The producer takes full responsibility for promoting the podcast and not disagreeing with Mitchell’s opinion on the topic.


“Freedom of speech doesn’t mean freedom from the consequences from that speech and he is experiencing that as am I by association and for promoting the conversation,” Delgado wrote. “I’m deeply sorry to people that I’ve let down or affected by this.”
