EARLY LIFE
The athlete has been in the MMA industry for quite some time and has battled relentlessly to stay relevant. Although he hasn’t won many matches, Godwin continues to hold his head high and face off more formidable and challenging opponents. He has been in five professional fights and has won only one of these bouts.
MMA CAREER
Godwin is a resilient fighter and has competed in various amateur fights. His big break into the MMA limelight came when he was nominated as a fighter for the AKO fight show. Godwin’s first-ever professional fight saw him face off against Daniel Emeka, but he lost the match after a submission in the opening round.
His next match saw him go up against Daniel Okechi, and he won the round after delivering brutal leg kicks that led to a leg injury. Soon after, he faced Ndidi Alonu but unfortunately lost the fight in round one after getting pummeled and knocked out by Alonu.
Following this, his next match wasn’t any better as he faced Damilare Abdulrahm but lost the fight in the first round.
