The fight made his professional debut at the South African Regional, where he faced Gavriell Schneider and won. Soon after, he battled Jaryd Halliday and lost. Following this, he faced William Bentley at Fight Force Cage Fighting and suffered defeat. Next, he went up against Ralph Drewes at KOTC and dominated his opponent after hammering him with a flurry of blows that led to a TKO in round one.
Subsequently, he finally made his EFC debut at EFC Worldwide when he battled Francois Groenewald and won the fight. Soon after, Hassan squared off against Denzil Wait at EFC Africa and lost the battle after a knee-to-body shot led to a submission.
