EARLY LIFE

Juliet Chukwu is considered the women’s bantamweight most experienced fighter. She has shown herself to be the champion of the people. The athlete has been in the MMA industry for five years and has battled national and international fighters. Chukwu has proven herself to be a formidable opponent and has won almost all her fights. She started her MMA fight training at the Elite training center, where she learned kickboxing and Muay Thai before entirely going into MMA. She has been in nine MMA fights, One professional and eight amateur.

MMA CAREER

The 132 LBS athlete has dominated her division and competed in contests such as WSC, OFU Fight Night, Benin FC, Lome Fight Night International,1Zone MMA, AKO 1 & 2, and FOFN3. Her first fight was against Jane Friday, but Juliet dispatched her opponent and won in the third round via unanimous decision.

Next, she faced Jane Osigwe at amateur level and won the bout by a split decision. Her next bout saw her face Jane Osage in a kickboxing fight. The fight ended with Chukwu emerging victorious in the third round via unanimous decision. Soon after, she faced off against French fighter Nora Cornolle at the BFC 7. The fight saw the two opponents weighing each other before throwing jabs, trying to score fatal hits. Cornolle soon had Chukwu pinned to the canvas, and the two wrestled to switch positions. Cornolle managed to remain on top and lock Chukwu in a rear naked choke that led to her submission in round one.


After losing her last fight, Juilet Chukwu went up against Ivorian fighter Bai Patrice Kevine in the Muay Thai division. She came out triumphant after delivering consecutive punches that led to her unanimous decision win in the third round. Following this, she faced Ugandan fighter Rebecca Amongi. The two started off landing strikes and grappling to the ground, where they both tried to lock each other in a chokehold. They soon got back on their feet, and Chukwu began giving deadly kicks to take down Amongi. The fighters proved evenly matched, and the fight result was decided via unanimous decision, with Juilet emerging the winner in round three.

Subsequently, she went up against Pamilerin Akintayo. She destroyed her opponent in the first round after delivering multiple jabs and a right hook that saw Akintayo topple to the floor. The bout ended with Chukwu victorious via TKO. Next, she faced off against Nweke Bibiana and won the fight after three rounds via unanimous decision. Her last recorded bout was against former rival Jane Osigwe. The match ended with Chukwu victorious following a unanimous decision. Her next match was at AKO 5, where she faced Belarus fighter Lily Kazak, and she defeated her opponent via unanimous decision.

At the co-main event, Juliet Chukwu faced Dayne Van Wyk for the bantamweight championship title. Wyk was consistent in her pursuit and continued to assault Chukwu with blows and punches, but the Nigerian fighter managed to evade them and maintain a healthy distance. Chukwu had her guard up the whole time and countered with well-timed strikes that kept her in the fight. The bout finally ended with a unanimous decision victory for her
