Eye vs Agapova
MMA FIghting

Jessica Eye didn’t just return at BKFC 76 she stormed back into combat sports with grit, volume, and relentless pressure.
The former UFC title contender marked her bare-knuckle debut with a dominant unanimous decision win over Mariya Agapova in Texa.

“These bruises heal but the evil lives on,” Eye roared to the crowd. “That’s what you guys came here for. Are you not entertained?”

After nearly three years out, Eye showed no signs of ring rust. From the opening bell, she pressed forward with purpose, pushing Agapova into the ropes and letting her hands go. She didn’t just walk Agapova down—she bullied her in the clinch, targeting the body with short, punishing shots while staying active in close quarters.

In the opening round, Eye wasted no time getting inside. She threw a barrage of punches, clinched up with a half -Thai plum, and ripped to the body. Agapova tried to answer from range, but Eye slipped inside and landed the heavier shots until the round ended. The following round saw more of the same. Eye clipped Agapova during an exchange, sending her down briefly, though the referee ruled it a slip. Even when Agapova fired back from distance, Eye walked through it, tied her up, and punished her on the inside. By the end of the round, Eye was bleeding from her right eye, but she never let up.

Eye continued to land with volume and accuracy in the third round. She pressured relentlessly, punched her way in, and went back to the half Thai plum to dish out more punishment. A swelling on Agapova’s forehead began to form evidence of the damage Eye was piling on.

The fourth round kept the pace high. Eye wouldn’t stop coming forward, ripping the body and scoring with dirty boxing against the ropes. The referee kept separating them, but Eye stayed on Agapova like glue. She snuck in an uppercut just before the round ended.

In the final round, Eye opened with a body shot that knocked Agapova back into the ropes. The referee ruled it a knockdown, despite Agapova’s protests that it was a push. The count stood. Eye continued the assault, stifling Agapova’s offense and cementing her control of the fight all the way to the final bell.

Over five rounds, Eye exchanged strikes with Agopova and had more connecting blows. Agapova had moments, but Eye was the one dictating the fight, the pace, the damage and left the biggest mark.
