EARLY LIFE
Juliet Ukah has become a sensation in previous years and is considered the #1 contender for the world EFC strawweight title belt. Before her MMA career, the athlete started as a Corporal in the Nigerian police force in 2018 but soon realized she had more passion for MMA and decided to go into combat sports full-time. Ukah has always been a lover of MMA and trained with Wushu in kickboxing when she was 10.
The athlete is skilled in fighting styles such as kickboxing, Brazilian jiu-jitsu, and Muay Thai. She has listed Muhammed Ali, Khabib, Bruce Lee, and Israel Adesanya as her source of inspiration. She is also a member of the national kickboxing team in Nigeria, has competed in four professional fights, and has never lost a bout.
MMA CAREER
Ukah has competed in various combat tournaments, such as IMBGIM FC and EFC. Her first fight was against Cameroonian fighter Clodia Vochung at the IMBGIM FC 1 featherweight division. After several blows and jabs, Ukah won the battle in round three via unanimous decision. Next, she faced Mischka Laubscher and the two came to vicious blows and fatal kicks. Afterward, Juliet Ukah emerged victorious in round three by unanimous decision.
Soon after, the fighter had her much-anticipated fight against South African fighter Crystal Van Wyk. The fight started with both rivals throwing punches and trying to score a fatal hit. By round two, Crystal was bleeding but still kept at it and tried punching her way through, but Ukah maintained a tight defensive position. The battle ended with Ukah the victor after a unanimous decision. Her last recorded battle was against Vochung, and she won the bout via split decision.
