Belal Muhammad has bigger things to worry about than old beef. While he gears up to defend his title against Jack Della Maddalena this Saturday, he took a moment to respond to Kamaru Usman’s recent comments and he didn’t hold back.
Usman had suggested the UFC might need security if they ever crossed paths backstage, but Belal isn’t exactly bothered about this. The champ is more concerned about his upcoming defense against Maddalena.
“Who? The former champ on a three-fight skid?” Muhammad said during UFC 315 media day. “I’m supposed to be scared of a guy with no knees, no cartilage, and a big head? Nah, I’ll be fine.”
He also brought up that podcast episode the one he filmed with Usman and Henry Cejudo that mysteriously never got released. According to Muhammad, it got a little too emotional on Usman’s end, which might explain why it never saw the light of day.
“If you’re a grown man crying on your own podcast, would you want that out there?” he said. “Unless they’ve got a miracle editor, I don’t think they’ve got the budget to save that footage.”
Muhammad also fired back at Covington who recently posted a video claiming he hid Muhammad’s meal prep at the UFC PI, calling him a “f*cking bum” while doing it.
“He hid my food? I’m not even in Vegas,” he said. “That’s how much of a moron he is. I don’t know what he’s on.
“These guys are basically YouTubers now. Kamaru’s running a podcast, Colby’s playing prankster. They should team up and start a show — ‘The Biggest Losers.’”
