Following the tragic motorcycle accident involving a 17-year-old girl and Francis Ngannou, the fighter released a statement on Tuesday addressing his involvement.
The accident occurred over Easter weekend in Cameroon, where Ngannou was riding a motorcycle that collided with a 17-year-old girl. He rushed her to the hospital, and reports indicated she suffered injuries to her arm and leg. However, her condition was too severe, and she later died at Yaoundé General Hospital.
“From the very beginning, I have been by the family’s side, offering support, comfort, and my deepest condolences during this time,” Ngannou told TMZ Sports. “I’ve met with them privately to share in their grief, and I will continue to stand with them every step of the way.
“I carry their pain with me, and my unwavering thoughts and support remain with them as they face this heartbreaking loss.”
Cameroonian authorities are currently investigating the incident.
