The UFC promotion has seen a lot of pull outs by many fighters since the beginning of 2025 and the latest comes as no surprise. UFC fighter Brandon Royval recently withdrew from the UFC Vegas due to an injury.

At the start of the year, Arman Tsarukyan withdrew from the title challenge against Islam Makhachev but was shortly replaced by Renato Moicano. Now, former flyweight title challenger Brandon Royval who was set to face Manel Kape at Apex on March has pulled out of the UFC Fight Night. The fighter took to instagram on Wednesday to make this announcement.

“Unfortunately I’m going to have to pull out of my fight, I’m sorry to Manel Kape and my fans,” Royval wrote. “I’m facing an injury that has me questioning when I’ll be able to train again. This is absolutely a fight I think needs to happen for the flyweight division but as of right now competing month has been ill advised. Love y’all and I apologize from the bottom of my heart. I’ll have more details on my YouTube this week.”

Royval fought and defeated Tatsuro Taira and UFC Vegan 98 and was set to show off his skills once again but had to withdraw due to unknown injuries. His opponent Manel Kape is yet to respond to this news and there is yet to be any announcement of a replacement. In the co-main event, Cody Brundage will face Julian Marquez in a middleweight clash.
