Former two-division UFC champion Henry Cejudo says he still wants a showdown with Nurideen Shabazz, better known as Deen The Great, after picking up a victory in his professional boxing debut.
Henry Cejudo ready for Deen the Great became the biggest talking point after Misfits Boxing 11 in Miami, where Cejudo earned a split-decision win over actor Javon Walton in the main event. Cejudo was originally scheduled to face Deen, but the social media star withdrew from the bout due to an injury.
Now, Cejudo wants the matchup rebooked and believes it is the fight that should happen next.
“First and foremost, I think Deen ‘The Duck’ owes me a fcking fight,”* Cejudo told Fred Talks Fighting. “That’s what he does, and it’s time for me to put that duck to sleep. You guys have to stop calling him ‘Deen The Great.’ It’s ‘Deen The Btch.’ Why don’t we call him that?”
“He needs to show up, and we have to throw down because that was the original plan. If he can’t do that, then just stream and don’t talk your sht. You’re not a boxer then. If you’re not willing to fight, then just stream and have fun kissing your boyfriend Adrien ‘Boner’ (Adrien Broner).”*
The victory over Walton marked a successful start to Cejudo’s professional boxing career. Rather than looking for a different opponent, the Olympic gold medalist remains focused on settling unfinished business with Deen.
Since retiring from MMA competition in December 2025, Cejudo has stayed active through wrestling events and influencer boxing. Despite adding new chapters to his combat sports career, he appears determined to revisit the matchup that fell apart before Misfits Boxing 11.
Cejudo also questioned whether Deen’s injury was serious enough to force him out of the fight.
“Deen, just step up, bro,” Cejudo said.”If you’re not about it, just start streaming. You’re not hurt; you’re not injured. Nobody believes you, including me and everyone you know here at Misfits.”
“If you’re not about it, just sit the hell down, and that’s it. If you’re trying to scrap and you mean it, then let’s do it. If not, just shut the hell up. That’s all I got to say.”
The comments make it clear that Henry Cejudo ready for Deen the Great is more than just a headline. The former UFC champion believes the rivalry still has unfinished business and wants the fight booked as soon as possible.
Whether Deen accepts the challenge remains to be seen. The content creator and boxer last competed against Amado Vargas in late 2025, suffering a unanimous decision loss. For now, Cejudo has made his intentions known and appears eager to turn his attention from Javon Walton to the opponent he was originally supposed to face.
