The daughter of former UFC heavyweight champion Frank Mir entered Tuesday night’s Contender Series showdown against Alex Apodaca with an undefeated 4-0 record and massive expectations. In fact, Mir was one of the biggest betting favorites the show has ever seen.
Instead, the 23-year-old suffered the first loss of her professional MMA career, dropping a unanimous decision to Apodaca after three hard-fought rounds at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas.

“We win together, and we lose together. We have been here before, after losing in the national finals in high school and college.
