The incident occurred on a Saturday during a live stream by bantamweight champion Sean O’Malley. The fighter had just come back from getting lunch and was playing video games when police officers entered his streets with drawn guns. He went outside to investigate what was happening but was forcefully told to put his hands on his head and was walked to the squad car, where he was placed in handcuffs.

After further investigation, it was discovered that a fellow gamer tracked down his IP address and called the police. The “gamer” went on to falsely accuse ‘Suga’ of killing his parents and firing gunshots. The police took immediate action and soon arrived on the scene to see a confusing O’Malley.

“About an hour and a half in, I saw a f**king cop fly down my road. I feel like instantly I kind of knew because I’ve heard about like the big, big streamers getting swatted. People find out where they’re at and called the cops and say something happened that obviously didn’t happen, and they’re f**king getting swatted.”

“I peek out my head out the window to see the cops.” He explained on his YouTube channel, “Maybe it’s something else. But then they’re on the intercom and I see a bunch of cops and they’re like, ‘Walk out with your hands up,’ So I f**king walk out, hands up, I was like, I’m just going to listen. I could get shot. You know what I mean? Like, s**t. I was like, okay, if I just listen to them I’ll be alright, but you never know. Someone sneezes and pulls the trigger. I’ve got f**king shotguns pointed at me, ARs from like four different cops pointed at me.”

O’Malley spoke about the cops handcuffing him, but a few recognised him, making the situation more bearable.

“They said I killed my parents or something like that. They thought there was an active shooter inside,” He said. “Someone called the cops and told them there was an active shooter inside and two dead in the house. I wish we could find the little weasel that called. They can’t find him. They don’t have an address. It was crazy.”

‘Getting Swatted’ is a popular incident that has happened to streamers like Adin Ross, Kai Cenat, and IShowSpeed. The fighter seems to be recovering from his ordeal, as he mentioned rewarding himself with pizza after the incident.
