Ignacio Campos silences Lagos. PFL Africa returned to Nigeria on June 13, 2026, bringing a packed night of action to the Eko Convention Center in Lagos. The home crowd arrived hoping to see local star and 2025 PFL Africa featherweight tournament winner Wasi Adeshina defend home soil, but Ignacio Campos had other plans in the night’s featured non-tournament main event.

The non-tournament main attraction at PFL Nigeria featured 2025 PFL Africa featherweight tournament winner Wasi Adeshina representing the host nation against Ignacio Campos, a fighter who had previously competed under the PFL banner. The fight started and Campos immediately made an impact with a leg kick that nearly spun Adeshina completely around. The pair clinched along the fence, where Adeshina executed a beautiful trip takedown. Campos quickly returned to his feet, created some separation, and blasted Adeshina with a sharp knee from the clinch as he closed the distance. He followed with another heavy leg kick, and Adeshina appeared uncomfortable dealing with the attack.

Campos then dropped Adeshina with a short right hand on the inside and swarmed with follow-up strikes on the ground. As Adeshina turned away, Campos instantly took his back and locked in a rear-naked choke. With Campos firmly attached to his back, Adeshina flattened out and was ultimately forced to tap. The referee stepped in to stop the fight, and Campos celebrated by leaping over the fence into the arms of his corner team, silencing the previously energetic crowd. It was a stunning performance from Ignacio Campos.

The lightweight tournament co-main event saw Nigeria’s Patrick “Star Boi” Ocheme face Cameroon’s Octave “The Bantu Warrior” Ayinda. The Nigerian Ocheme pivoted with a check-hook and ended the fight with a highlight reel flying knee in the first round.

Both fighters began the bout in the orthodox stance. Ayinda adopted a compact, low stance and steadily pressed forward, looking ready to explode with power. Ocheme stood taller, circled on the outside, and frequently switched to southpaw while probing with his jab. Throughout the opening exchanges, Ocheme continued switching stances and pawing with his lead hand from both sides. He also leaned back to avoid a massive overhand from Ayinda, who kept marching forward and occasionally fired a front kick down the middle.

Ayinda repeatedly launched heavy punches as he looked to close the distance, while Ocheme remained calm and composed under the pressure. Despite avoiding the biggest shots, Ocheme spent much of the round moving backward and offering little offense of his own, appearing to trail on the scorecards. Then everything changed in an instant, after patiently waiting for his opening, Ocheme connected with a short check hook that hurt Ayinda. Sensing the moment, he immediately followed with a perfectly timed double-clutch flying knee that landed flush on the jaw. Ayinda collapsed against the fence and was left completely unconscious as the crowd inside the Eko Convention Center erupted in celebration. It was a spectacular knockout from Patrick Ocheme and one of the most memorable finishes of the night.

Patrick Ocheme might have spent much of the fight on the back foot, but he only needed one opening to change everything. With a perfectly timed flying knee and a spectacular knockout in front of his home crowd, the Nigerian star delivered one of the standout moments of the night and reminded everyone why he is considered one of Africa’s brightest prospects.
