UFC fighter Nate Diaz is quite popular for his controversial nature in and outside the cage. The fighter has again made it into the spotlight, this time for an altercation at a nightclub in Las Vegas.
Diaz was recently charged with battery after allegedly striking a nightclub employee in Las Vegas. The report states that the incident took place on August 25 at Omnia nightclub in Ceasar’s Palace.
Eyewitness recount Diaz and his team causing trouble and holding up the queue at the cashier line. When approached by a security guard, the situation escalated real quick. Diaz got physical with the guard which led to the guard shoving Diaz in response. The confrontation took a quick turn when Diaz was recorded striking the guard in the face and knocked off his glasses. The two had to be separated by other security details but Diaz had fled the scene before the police arrived.
A misdemeanor charge has been filed against the fighter and an arrest warrant has been issued for him. If found guilty, the fighter could spend up to six months in jail and pay a fine of $10,000.
Diaz’s last appearance in he cage was in 2022 when he faced Tony Ferguson. Since then, the fighter has pursued a boxing career and faced prolific boxers like Jake Paul and Jorge Masvidal.
The 39-year-old fighter was actually just in Las Vegas this past weekend cornering his friend Kron Gracie at UFC 310 for his fight against Bryce Mitchell.
