Julia Avila Announces Retirement Following UFC Vegas 102 Loss to Jacqueline Cavalcanti

UFC fighter Julia Avila has hung up her gloves after her recent loss to Jacqueline Cavalcanti at UFC Vegas 102.
The fighter has a 9-4 pro record and has scored victories over fighters like Gina Mazany and Julija Stoliarenko. The fighter had a good start during her debut in 2021, but she took a break afterward to become a mother and raise her child. On Saturday, February 15, Avila had her final fight in the octagon, and she announced her last retirement with her daughter in her arms after her loss via unanimous decision.
“This is it,” Avila told Daniel Cormier. “I want to thank God for giving me the opportunity to fight on the world’s best stage. And usually, I start my fight with Psalm 144:1 — may God strengthen my fists for battle, and fingers for warfare.
“Today I say, God says well done, my good and faithful servant.”
