He went in for a ground and pound and elbow shots and went in for a rear-naked choke but his opponentb found an opening and wriggled through. Allen was persistent and tried to regain his earlier position but Hernandez offered no leeway and soon had Allen in a rear-naked choke. The two continued their grappling, each looking for a submission.

The rest of the round went the same way with both opponents seeking a takedown and grappling to get ontop or remain in full mount. The bout eventually came to an end with Hernandez landing elbow shots and blows and earning the victory.
“I got to prove what I knew that I could shut him down this time,” Hernandez said after his latest performance. “It’s good to come out and show what I can do. Last time he f*cked me up with the kicks so I didn’t want that to happen again. He kept fighting. He’s a tough motherf*cker. Whoever’s ahead of me. Give me someone that’s going to prove I’m ready for the title.”
