
Rose Namajunas defeats Miranda Maverick via unanimous decision at UFC fight night co-main event that took place at State Farm Arena Atlanta, Georgia.
In the co-main event of the UFC fight night, Rose Namajunas a two-time champion who defeated Tracy Cortez in UFC Denver via unanimous decision defends Miranda Maverick who submits Jamey-Lyn Horth via unanimous decision In UFC Tampa game in December 2024.
The opening round started off at a slow and measured pace as both fighters took their time finding their rhythm. About two minutes in, things heated up — both began exchanging heavy punches and kicks. Maverick went for a kick that missed, but seconds later, she connected clean, sending Namajunas to the canvas.

Namajunas quickly scrambled back to her feet.The round continued with Maverick pressing the action, clearly edging it until Namajunas found her moment to reverse the momentum, clinching Maverick against the cage for a brief spell. Namajunas then disengaged, and the two continued trading shots until the end of the round. At the beginning of the bout, one could say the fight started well for Maverick until Namajunas took over.
Round two opened with Maverick coming out aggressive, landing some powerful punches and leg kicks. Namajunas answered back and scored a takedown, putting Maverick on her back. Maverick struggled to get up, but Namajunas kept the pressure on. From the bottom, Maverick locked her legs around Namajunas, slowing her down and drawing the attention of the crowd with her tight control. Even though Namajunas had top position, Maverick’s guard made it tough to advance.

Namajunas eventually managed to break free and get back to her feet. The action stayed wild — she briefly locked in a choke, but Maverick showed incredible resilience, escaping and then flipping the momentum. Maverick turned the tables with a choke of her own and landed some solid ground-and-pound as the round closed, surprising everyone with her comeback.
In round three, Maverick opened strong again, pinning Namajunas to the cage early. The fight then shifted back to the middle of the octagon where both fighters battled for control. Maverick attempted to land a big shot, but missed and got caught with a clean punch from Namajunas which led to another takedown.
Namajunas secured top position and controlled the action, applying pressure with a choke attempt while keeping Maverick pinned. Despite Maverick’s effort to escape, Namajunas maintained dominance through the final minutes.

After three hard-fought rounds, Rose Namajunas took the win by unanimous decision.
