UFC Fight Night hosted many memorable fights on May 18, including the welterweight division battle of Themba Gorimbo vs. Ramiz Brahimaj. The fight occurred at UFC APEX in Las Vegas, Nevada, and a large audience was in attendance.


The match featured Themba Gorimbo, who gained popularity after receiving a house and supplies from wrestler-turned-actor Dwayne ‘Rock’ Johnson due to his inspirational story. The fighter came to Miama from Uganda chasing his MMA dream. Despite his struggles and challenges, the fighter still sends money to his family to ease their burden. The fight is his third UFC appearance, and he is on the fast track to becoming a notable fighter. Ramiz Brahimaj’s opponent put up a good fight and did not back down in battle. The grappling expert, who had won all his fights by submission, was ready to give him a run for his money in grappling.

Brahimaj came into the opening round with an unsuccessful takedown followed by a clinch from him. He went from a flip, but Gorimbo landed on top, a full guard, and some manoeuvring soon saw Brahimaj back on his feet. He soon broke out of the clinch, but Gorimbo remained an aggressor. The two tried to throw each other off, but Brahimaj’s grappling experience gave him the upper hand. The two continued to clinch, with Gorimbo displaying none of his striking prowess till the round ended.

he came into the second round with punishing leg kicks but went in for a clinch when Brahimaj tried to grapple him. He tried a few takedowns, but Gorimbo remained on his feet. His final round takedown saw Gorimbo on the canvas with Brahimaj on his back, but Gorimbo managed to get him off and score a takedown.

The final round began with Gorimbo initiating a clinch, followed by a series of kicks and knee strikes. The match concluded with a unanimous decision win for Gorimbo.
