The Professional Fighters League (PFL) has found a new television home in the United States. The promotion announced a major partnership with VICE TV, which will broadcast 10 international events through 2026, starting with PFL MENA Championships on December 4 and PFL Africa Championships on December 20.

This marks a significant move for PFL as it expands its global reach and introduces a new chapter for the fast-growing MMA promotion. According to PFL CEO John Martin, the deal reflects a shared vision between the two brands.

“Partnering with VICE TV represents an exciting new chapter for the Professional Fighters League,” Martin said. “VICE’s unique storytelling voice, passionate sports audience, and broad linear reach make them the ideal partner to showcase the next generation of global MMA. Together, we’re bringing the action, culture, and energy of PFL MENA and PFL Africa to millions of fans across the U.S., while continuing to build the sport’s worldwide momentum through live events and exclusive programming.”

A PFL official confirmed that all events airing on VICE TV will also stream live on the PFL app, giving fans multiple ways to watch. The partnership will continue through 2026, with eight more PFL MENA and PFL Africa events scheduled for broadcast that year.

VICE TV President Peter Gaffney also expressed enthusiasm about the collaboration, emphasising the network’s growing investment in combat sports.

“VICE TV audiences come to us for the high-octane, provocative, and compelling content they can’t find anywhere else,” Gaffney said. “We’re proud to welcome Professional Fighters League to our lineup and give fans across the U.S. access to these international fights for the first time on television.”

Alongside this broadcast deal, the PFL is undergoing a major structural change. The organisation confirmed plans to phase out its long-running tournament format, which often confused fans, especially after the Bellator acquisition, in favour of a more streamlined championship model.

In this new setup, each weight class will crown a single, undisputed PFL champion, ending the million-dollar season tournaments that previously defined the promotion.

“The tournament structure was asking a lot of the fans,” Martin explained. “If you’re the challenger brand, you need a hook, but sometimes simplicity is the best strategy. Our fighters are world-class; we don’t need to overcomplicate the format. It’s time to evolve and let the talent speak for itself.”

The PFL’s partnership with VICE TV, coupled with its simplified championship structure, signals a new era for the promotion. With expanded global coverage and a renewed focus on clarity and accessibility, PFL is positioning itself to compete more directly with the UFC and bring international MMA closer to fans worldwide.
