The PFL 3 tournament took place at Universal Studios in Orlando, Florida, and featured thrilling fights and impressive displays of sportsmanship. Headlining the event was a light heavyweight bout between Impa Kasanganay and Fabian Edwards.
The battle started on a heavy note, with Edwards swinging hard punches and Impa doing his best to avoid the dangerous shots. Impa managed to land a few strikes that clipped Edwards, but overall, Edwards seemed to be gaining the upper hand. He landed a savage elbow that opened a deep gash on Impa’s head, causing blood to stream down his face.
A brief timeout was called, and a doctor stepped in to examine the situation. Impa was given the all-clear, and the fight resumed. However, it soon became clear that he wasn’t recovering well. A well-timed jab rocked Impa, and Edwards seized the opportunity to finish the fight with a devastating knockout that put Kasanganay to sleep in the second round.
“I feel good, but the job’s not done,” Edwards said after his win. “One down, two more to go. I can’t get too happy. PFL, you should’ve brought in elbows a long time ago.”
