Paddy Pimblett isn’t packing on the pounds as much as people might think following UFC 324.
“The Baddy” hasn’t been shy in admitting he likes to indulge after each of his fights. Pimblett said he gained a whopping 42 pounds just one week after his UFC 314 victory over Michael Chandler. Pimblett always gets himself in shape for his bouts, but perhaps he’s dialing back on his post-fight routine.
In a new video posted on his YouTube channel, Pimblett revealed his current weight close to a month after his unanimous decision loss to Gaethje.
“I weighed myself this morning, I was only 86kgs (190 pounds),” Pimblett said. “F*cking sound for me. I’ve been at like 90 something at this stage before. I’ve been eating well.”
Pimblett believes that he has actually been able to avoid letting himself get carried away this go-around.
“I know the title says I got fat again but I’m not that fat,” Pimblett said. “I’m actually all right. Like 86 kilos, which is sound. I’m doing all right.
“I’m not like America fat where I’m like 94, 95 kilos (210 pounds). We’re doing good. We’re doing all right.”
Pimblett was hoping to capture the interim UFC Lightweight Championship when he faced Gaethje on Jan. 24. This would’ve guaranteed a title unification bout against Ilia Topuria. Both “The Baddy” and Topuria have been feuding for years, but they’ve yet to share the Octagon.
That fight will have to wait a bit longer. While Pimblett showcased durability in the headliner for UFC’s debut on Paramount+, he was battered throughout the fight and it was clear that “The Highlight” was the right decision made by the judges.
Following his unanimous decision loss to Justin Gaethje in the UFC 324 main event, the Liverpool native returned home and went on a food tour to hit some of his favorite spots around town. From ordering every sandwich on a menu at one restaurant, where he eats for free, to visiting his old friend Molly McCann at her establishment, Pimblett was chowing down but still not gaining quite as much weight as usual.
“I weighed myself this morning, I was only 86kgs (190 pounds),” Pimblett said on his video blog. “F*cking sound for me. I’ve been at like 90 something at this stage before. I’ve been eating well.”
From sandwiches to Chinese food and even munching through a full English breakfast, a brisket sandwich and then pancakes for dessert, Pimblett wasn’t shy about the portions he was putting away.
That said, Pimblett revealed he was actually only eating one big meal per day on average and then usually took down a snack at night.
While Pimblett’s post-fight eating habits are the stuff of legend, he proudly proclaimed that his weight hasn’t ballooned quite as much this time around as it has in the past.

Still, Pimblett definitely enjoys his food when he’s not in training camp so he’s taking full advantage of his time off while back at home in Liverpool and awaiting his next assignment from the UFC.
“Definitely not missing that fight camp diet,” Pimblett said. “Food is definitely the best part after a fight.”
The loss at UFC 324 was Pimblett’s first setback since joining the promotion. He now boasts a 7-1 record in the UFC and a 23-4 record overall in his career.
