Ocheme dominates Camara, claims unanimous decision Win at PFL Africa. Patrick “Star Boi” Ocheme delivered a smart and powerful performance to dethrone Mohamed Camara by unanimous decision in the featherweight main event of PFL Africa 2, held at the Big Top Arena in Johannesburg on August 9, 2025.

The PFL Africa main event delivered the fireworks fans were hoping for, as Nigeria’s Ocheme Edoh battled Guinea’s Aboubakar Camara in a high-paced three-round war that had the crowd on their feet. At the Big Top Arena in Johannesburg, South Africa, Patrick “Star Boi” Ocheme squared off against Mohamed Camara in a high-stakes quarterfinal showdown.

Patrick Ocheme arrived in Johannesburg with an imposing 6–1 pro ledger. Four of Ocheme’s six career victories have come by KO/TKO, Ocheme’s recent run included notable stoppages on the EFC regional circuit. He picked up a second-round TKO of Guide Moyo at EFC 115, then followed that up with a first-round KO/TKO of Kaleka Kabanda at EFC 119, that wins helped build the momentum that carried him into the PFL tournament.

Mohamed Camara, his opponent came in as a seasoned competitor from the UAE and Middle East circuit. His pro record reads 5–2–1, and his most recent result before the PFL show was a split-decision draw with Ali Yazbeck at UAE Warriors 49, a competitive outing that showed Camara’s durability and ability to hang with tough journeymen. his prior results, includes a February 2023 KO loss to Jaures Dea.


Round one started and the fighters circled early, testing each other. Camara opened with a hard leg kick. Ocheme answered with a side kick to the thigh. Camara closed the distance, clinched, and landed a knee to Ocheme’s body. Ocheme pushed him into the cage. Camara tripped him down and landed in side control, but Ocheme scrambled back to his feet.

Back in the clinch, Ocheme worked knees to the body and legs. Camara tried another trip, but Ocheme stayed up and broke away. Ocheme charged forward, landing a jumping knee and throwing wild punches. Camara managed to recover. Ocheme kept looking for the big knockout, throwing a one-one-two and missing a spinning head kick. Camara fired back with punches, then clinched again. He tried an outside trip but it didn’t work. They separated, Ocheme landed an inside leg kick, then missed a head kick just before the bell.

They both started the second round with left hooks. Ocheme landed a push kick to the body and a sweeping left hook to the head. Camara went for a takedown but Ocheme stuffed it. Ocheme landed a body kick. Camara answered with a left hook. Ocheme stepped in with an elbow but took another counter shot.

Camara pressed forward, landing a low kick and a right hand over the top. Ocheme hit him with a knee to the body. Camara landed more leg kicks. Then Ocheme dropped Camara with a big left hook, swarming him with punches and vicious elbows on the ground. Camara tried to grab a leg for a submission, but Ocheme kept raining down elbows, hammerfists, and forearm shots.

Somehow, Camara got to his knees and back to his feet. They traded knees in the clinch. Camara slipped trying for a takedown. Ocheme got behind him, threatened a rear-naked choke, then ended up in top position, finishing the round with more ground-and-pound.

The third round started and Camara came into the last round needing a finish. Ocheme landed a stiff jab early. Camara kept pressing forward, swinging big shots. He missed an overhand right but backed Ocheme to the fence and landed a right hand. Ocheme circled out, avoided two wild punches, and landed his jab again. They clinched at the fence, Camara landing knees to the bodybut Ocheme reversed position, working knees to Camara’s legs. The ref broke them up with two minutes left.

Ocheme popped a few more jabs and landed a knee to the body. Camara ducked a spinning backfist and clinched. He pulled guard, but Ocheme powered into top position. From there, Ocheme dropped hammerfists while Camara hunted for another leg lock. It didn’t work. Ocheme stayed on top, avoided damage, and landed a few more hammerfists before the bell.

The co-main event also delivered a quick finish as Shido Boris Esperança wasted no time, submitting Ibrahima Mané with a rear-naked choke just 34 seconds into the first round. Esperança showed slick grappling skills, reversing a throw and quickly taking Mané’s back to secure the choke and earn a fast victory. This win moves Esperança into the welterweight semifinals and marked one of the night’s quickest finishes.
