BKFC champion Mike Perry faced off against Jake Paul on Saturday in a boxing match that ended in his defeat. The bout took place in Tampa, Florida, and did not end well for Perry, who was dropped in the sixth round.

The loss was tough for Perry, but it seemed BKFC co-owner and UFC champion Conor McGregor did not care about this and voiced his displeasure at Perry’s performance. The Irishman mocked Perry’s newly created “Dirty Boxing” promotion and threatened to fire him and force him to compete somewhere else.

‘Platinum didn’t take this outburst lightly and quickly responded at a Saturday night’s post-fight presser.

“He doesn’t f*cking have a promotion,” Perry said at his post-fight press conference. “Me and him are both owners of BKFC, so he can’t fire me. We can fight in bare-knuckle. Look at me. I lost to Jake Paul. Why don’t you go fight Jake Paul in boxing with gloves on? I think it would be worse than Conor McGregor vs. [Floyd] Mayweather.”

After this rebuttal, McGregor responded to Perry’s comment with a since-deleted tweet.

“Perry took a pay cut to take that fight btw. It was a wish of his. Astounding. He will not be offered a return to the BKFC ring. He can do a few matches of his new Dirty Boxing thing with the MMA sparring gloves he has set up. We wish him well. Wish granted.

“Michael, you are not any owner in BKFC. Not an iota. You have the tiniest minute dot of a share in [Triller]. The social media video app. Which is promising, in fairness. But it’s a speckle you have. You hold nothing in [BKFC]. Not an iota. And trust me, you are out, bro.”

McGregor is a co-owner of BKFC, but it is uncertain if he has the power to fire Perry. There is a possibility of a fight between him and Perry later in the future, which would be a rematch after the battle a long time ago. However, Perry intends to take some time off and recover after his KO loss in his bout with Jake Paul.

“Just chill with the fam and get back in the gym when I can, try to take care of my body,” Perry said. “I’m not in a hurry to go party and f*ck myself up. There’s nothing to be happy about. I should have done better, or maybe I just couldn’t. I don’t know. He was just a little too sharp, a little too fast for me. Good job to Jake Paul.

“You saw me drop Jake on his head there with a little grappling move,” Perry said. “I got pissed off and just tossed him down. Who knows what his strategy would be? He’s a smart kid; he’d probably train with a proper strategy, but my ability to fight at him, even with smaller gloves, maybe catch him with a little bit more speed and get my hands on him, take his back or use some jiu-jitsu. If that’s something he wanted to do, I’d be willing to do it. These other guys didn’t want to, but I will. Let’s fight.”
