The vicious fighter Khalil Rountree will face a two-month suspension after reporting himself for ingesting a blended supplement that contained DHEA. The suspension was issued on Wednesday in a statement issued by UFC via Combat Sports Anti-Doping [CSAD], and the fighter has graciously accepted the two-month sanction.

Rountree, who consumed the supplement on May 4, promptly reported the incident to CSAD after realizing its properties. A subsequent test confirmed the presence of “the exogenous origin of 5a-androstandiol, 5b-androstanediol and androsterone, all metabolites of DHEA” in Rountree’s system, leading to the suspension. This was deemed an error on both Rountree’s and the supplement company’s part, who had sent the therapeutic blend products.

The company owner apologised for the error and called it “a massive oversight on our part.” CSAD has determined that the amount ingested by Rountree has no significant performance benefits.

Unfortunately, the suspension includes the UFC 303, which Rountree will be unable to perform. He was set to battle Jamahal Hill on June 29, but the battle will have to be postponed. The fighter may also face additional discipline from the Nevada Athletic Commission, which plans to discuss the matter at an upcoming monthly meeting.
