Katie Taylor and Amanda Serrano made history once again as their long-anticipated trilogy bout delivered massive numbers, breaking records as the most-watched women’s sporting event of 2025.
Fighting for the third and likely final time, Taylor and Serrano returned to Madison Square Garden—the site of their iconic first encounter—for a main event that capped off one of the greatest rivalries in modern boxing, male or female. Although the bout lacked the high-voltage drama of their first two meetings, Taylor earned a majority decision win to go 3-0 over Serrano and officially close the chapter on a legendary feud.
“Katie Taylor vs Serrano 3 drew nearly 6 million global viewers from the opening bell to the final scorecards,” Netflix and VideoAmp confirmed in a joint statement. “The event reached 4.2 million viewers in the U.S. alone.”
The card didn’t just perform well on screens, it packed Madison Square Garden with a sellout crowd of 19,721 and brought in a live gate of $2.63 million, more than doubling the revenue from their original clash.

The Taylor vs Serrano trilogy topped Netflix charts in the United States, Ireland, Australia, and New Zealand, while also making the Top 10 in 43 countries. While the third bout didn’t eclipse the second in raw numbers, the success was still historic. The rematch had served as the co-main event on the mega-card headlined by Jake Paul vs. Mike Tyson last November, which drew an estimated 108 million viewers worldwide. Taylor vs Serrano 2 alone averaged 47 million viewers in the U.S. and hit a staggering 74 million globally.
Despite a quieter third bout, Taylor and Serrano delivered where it mattered most, visibility, impact, and legacy. The all-women’s card featured 17 title fights, a record in boxing history, and put female fighters front and center on one of the sport’s biggest stages.
“This was more than a trilogy,” one promoter said. “This was a cultural shift. Taylor vs Serrano raised the bar for what women’s boxing can be.”
As Katie Taylor walked away with another win and Amanda Serrano likely wrapped up her rivalry with dignity, the trilogy cemented its place in history. Taylor vs Serrano wasn’t just a fight, it was a moment that moved the needle for the sport.
