After over a year of legal battle against Fanmio, Jorge Masvidal won his lawsuit against the streaming company for non-payment related to his boxing bout against Nate Diaz.

The streaming company promoted the boxing match between Nate Diaz and Jorge Masvidal in 2024 and guaranteed the fighter a $6 million payment for his participation and $7 million if he won the fight.

Following the bout, Masvidal was offered $1 million and $150,000 after his fight, but he was never paid the remaining funds. Masvidal explained that his team reached out to Fanmio owner Solomon Engel for completion of payment, but he was never paid in full. The fighter submitted a non-payment issue to an arbitrator in January.

The arbitrator ultimately sided with Masvidal and ordered Fanmio to pay $5,315,268.64 to the fighter, which included compensatory damages of $4,850,000 plus attorney fees and interest. The judge has now granted Masvidal’s motion for final default judgment in his pursuit of the money still owed by Fanmio.

Masvidal isn’t the only one suing Fanmio, as the promotion also faces a separate lawsuit from Diaz, who is pursuing payment still owed to him from the matchup against Masvidal. A separate arbitrator overseeing that case also awarded Diaz $6 million, along with an additional $500,000 penalty against Fanmio founder Solomon Engel.
