Jiri Prochazka vs. Carlos Ulberg set for UFC 327 Light Heavyweight Title. The UFC has officially booked a vacant light heavyweight title fight for its next major pay-per-view event.
On Friday, the UFC announced that on April 11, 2026, former champion Jiri Prochazka will face rising contender Carlos Ulberg in the main event of UFC 327 at the Kaseya Center in Miami, Florida, United States. The championship bout comes after Alex Pereira vacated the light heavyweight belt, opening the door for two top contenders to vie for the undisputed 205-pound crown.
Pereira’s decision to give up the title appears linked to his plans to move up to the heavyweight division, where he has expressed interest in pursuing historic double-champion status. UFC president Dana White confirmed the title vacation in a live social media announcement, clearing the path for Prochazka and Ulberg to headline the April card.

Jiri Prochazka is no stranger to championship fights. He first captured the UFC light heavyweight title in June 2022 when he submitted Glover Teixeira, but injuries forced him to vacate the belt shortly afterward. Since then, Prochazka challenged for gold twice against Pereira suffering TKO losses in both title rematches but rebounded with a pair of thrilling knockout wins over Khalil Rountree Jr. and Jamahal Hill in 2025.
Those back-to-back finishes helped reestablish Prochazka as one of the division’s most dangerous fighters. At UFC 327, he aims to recapture the title that once defined his career and complete the circuit that began with his first belt reign. The rest of the UFC 327 card was also revealed, including newly announced bouts featuring Beneil Dariush vs. Manuel Torres, Patricio Pitbull vs. Aaron Pico, and Mateusz Gamrot vs. Esteban Ribovics. Plus, Kelvin Gastelum steps in for Kyle Daukaus to face Vicente Luque..
