Former UFC light heavyweight champion Jiri Prochazka slams haters who keep criticizing his fighting style at UFC 311.

Prochazka battled and defeated Jamahal Hill over the weekend with an impressive performance. The fighter had a good start and was able to win round after round before finishing his opponent with an impressive TKO in the third round. Prochazka’s latest win has increased his chances of a title shot. Although he may have to defeat one or two more opponents before that chance comes, he has redeemed himself. Despite his latest wins, fans and commentators believe the fighter still has some work to do, especially in tightening up his defenses.

During his post-fight conference, Prochazka was asked how he felt about these comments. The fighter had a lot to say to those coming at him about his performance.

Prochazka

“F*ck them. I worked on that so much.” Prochazka said at his post-fight news conference after he was told the broadcast team – Jon Anik, Joe Rogan and Daniel Cormier – made mention of his defensive style. “(People) messaged me every day: ‘You have to keep your hands up.’ So OK, I will do that for this fight. I will keep the hands up, especially for this night.

“(I keep my hand down because) I believe in my senses and I believe in my feeling in a fight – in my head movement. That’s why I can keep the hands down. To be honest, in the last fight with Alex, I was a little bit too (OK keeping my) hands down. So this is something I’ve worked on. I want to see the video from the fight (against Hill) because I believe that I (kept my hands up).”

Procházka is not letting any of these negative comments get to him as he intends to continue training and will plan on putting even more emphasis on staying defensively responsible should his wish to meet “Poatan” for a third time come to fruition down the line.
