UFC fighter Jean Silva recently expressed his dream of facing Max Holloway for the BMF title, but the BMF champ didn’t take the callout seriously.
Max Holloway, fresh off a decision win over Dustin Poirier at UFC 318, is open to facing new contenders but doesn’t see Silva as a worthy opponent. Silva recently fought Diego Lopes at UFC Noche in September and suffered a disappointing knockout loss.
During a livestream, Holloway was asked what he thought about Silva’s callout and whether he would consider it, but he laughed it off.
“Is he smoking drugs? Holy fck,” Holloway said on Kick. “Did he not see what Diego Lopes just did to him? This guy’s got to be trolling us, bro. … That motherfcker’s still concussed, bro. Whatever he’s saying, we’re not going to take it serious. Dude, stay concussed, bro.”

The response didn’t sit well with Jean Silva, who fired back at the former UFC featherweight champion.
“Said the guy who was knocked out by Topuria and then fought for the BMF belt [LAUGHS],” Silva said on Instagram.
While a fight between Holloway and Jean Silva seems unlikely for now, it wouldn’t be surprising if the matchup eventually materializes in the coming years.
