It looks like events from UFC 300, which took place two months ago, still seem to be bothering Jamahal Hill. The fighter recently took to Instagram to blast his opponent Pereira for celebrating over his unconscious body after a knockout.
The match, which featured UFC light heavyweight champion Alex Pereira, was amazing and shocked fans after ‘Poatan’ landed a first-round knockout to retain his title. Nearly two months after this defeat, ‘Sweet Dreams’ is still not over this humiliation. Hill took to his Instagram post to address the fight.
“Now, I haven’t really spoken on this, but I went to Brazil, and the dog walked your guy in one of the most one-sided ass whooping in championship history and after showed nothing but respect and paid homage!! I’ve celebrated over an opponent I beat and even called out my fans for disrespecting Johnny Walker after an injury that could have ended my career. Y’all all think this is funny or cool!! @alexpoatanpereira you really setup a punch you couldn’t get to without a weird confusing moment and did some weak sh*t but it’s ok because you will fight me again and my eyes won’t leave you until you’re as stiff as Izzy left you in Miami!!!”
Hill’s post didn’t sit well with some fans, who went to his comment sections to rebuke him: “ That’s just a bit weak, bro. Get over it and move on. Petty behavior. You will never be a champ with your mentality.”
‘Sweet Dreams’ did not take this lying down and blasted and challenged any fan who had anything to say about his post.
“F*ck all that, bro, at the end of the day, bro, y’all can only talk so much sh*t before somebody starts to say something back,” He said on his Instagram stories. “So for all that’s talking sh*t about this fight and sh*t, and y’all want to speak on some fighting sh*t, we can talk money sh*t–[$20,000] pull up to the gym. Anybody, all y’all that’s talking on these posts and all of that shit, and talking this and that, I’ve got [$20,000]. Pull up to the gym, bro Come get paid. I know y’all broke and need it.”
Hill was on a winning streak after defeating Teixeira at UFC 283 but soon suffered a torn achilles injury. The battle between him and Pereira was his debut after the injury. Despite his defeat, the fighter is still in the game and is set to face Carlos Ulberg at the upcoming UFC 303 on June 29.
