EARLY LIFE
Emeka Ifekandu is a seasoned MMA fighter and boxer who hails from Nigeria but was born in Omaha, Nebraska. The athlete first made his MMA debut at LFA, where he had a 4-1 record before making his BKFC debut. Ifekandu has no ranking due to his inactivity, but the fighter has been in twelve professional bouts since his debut.
MMA CAREER
Ifekandu has competed in many promotions, the most popular being LFA and DCS. The fighter also competed in a few local promotions like Summer Fest Omaha, MCF, JGK, The Next Generation. The fighter had three amateur bouts before making his professional debut at Ascendancy FC 13, where he faced Frank Osborne and won via TKO. Next, he battled Devin Turner at LFA: Sioux Falls Fight Night 1 and defeated the fighter in round one via TKO. Ifekandu won his next three fights against Jorge Serrano, Steven Merril, Michael Graves at the LFA.
Later, the Nigerian faced William Joplin and Drako Rodriguez in their consecutive matches, but he lost by a unanimous decision and guillotine choke in round one. His following bouts against Jason Huntley and Kyler Phillips ended with a unanimous win and a loss via TKO in round one. Next, he faced Joe James and Kevin Nauden and lost via majority but he defeated Nauden in the subsequent fight.
Ifekandu had five more fights before he finally made his BKFC debut in his hometown, Omaha, Nebraska. In a preliminary bout, he faced Charlie DuBray in 2022 and defeated his opponent via split decision. Next, he battled Chris Dunn in TRMMA for the lightweight championship but lost after suffering a KO in the first round. He soon had a rematch battle with Charlie DuBray at the BKFC, and he defeated the fighter again with a right-hand shot in round three. He went on to face well-known fighter Anthony Smith and won after a four-round bout. His last known battle was against Sean Wilson, who defeated the fighter by a majority decision.
